"I have been a long-time customer for Cash Store, mainly the branch at North Sterling Avenue since it is located just a few blocks away from home. A few years back, I was having a hard time with my finances and had to resort to unconventional loans due to my poor credit score. That was when a family friend introduced me to Cash Store, claiming that they have helped him in the past before with similar situations as mine. I was honestly a bit skeptical, as I kept hearing horror stories about payday loans before. However, as I was desperate and in a pressing need for quick cash, I decided to give it a try.
I was really nervous back then, mainly because it was my first time dealing with such loans and such companies. However, my nervousness was proven uncalled for, as everyone, there was really friendly. The lady clerk understood that I was a first time customer, and she explained everything really patiently. That's when I learned about all the different programs offered by Cash Store. Their 'cash advance' is essentially a payday loan, in which you have to pay back in two weeks. The interest rate is high, but honestly, it was lower than what I thought it would be. They also offered me an installment loan, of which I can take up to $2,500, paying only around $300 monthly for a year. I took the installment loan option back then, and it was approved almost instantly. All in all, I only spent around 20 minutes, and that's because I asked a lot of questions for my first time.
During that loan period, I had a few hiccups, and I would need to be behind on payments once or twice. Both times, I gave them a call explaining the situation, and they were really civil about the whole process. I did receive a penalty, but it was expected as it was my fault, to begin with. I paid back that loan without much problem whatsoever, and I was really happy with the whole experience. After that, I took several other cash advance loans from them, just to get by, and I also didn't get any problem at all. I stopped using their loans during the past couple of years, mainly because my financial situations got better. However, a few months back, I had a bit of emergency and I decided to take another loan.
I was surprised that they still kept all my credit history with them, and although they have changed employees, their treatment was still pleasant and professional. Well, I wouldn't recommend for taking payday loans a lot, as indeed the interest rate is quite high. However, if you are in an emergency, the Cash Store is definitely one of the best out of the very few good options in Peoria. They offered fast and professional service, and their interest rates are better compared to other companies here. They were always friendly and not totally money hungry, unlike some companies out there. Definitely worth a try!"
