Real review of "ACE Cash Express" in Hampton, VA!

"I frequent the ACE Cash Express on Kecoughtan Road, Hampton for almost a decade now, mostly only to pay my bills through them although I also used their payday loan service from time to time. In all my experiences, I never had any problem with them, in fact, they do everything fast and was very friendly.
I read a lot of bad comments and reviews about ACE, but I haven't had any so far. Well, except maybe once. I was paying my payday loan in a hurry, forgot the exact amount since it was a while ago, but I left without getting a receipt. The clerk did offer me, but since I never had any trouble before and I was really in a hurry, I waved her off with a smile, and I was on my way after I told her to have a nice day.
Well, I am not an overly friendly person, and I remembered faces more than names, but I they always greeted me in a friendly way, and I always try to be friendly. However, long story short, I received a call roughly a week later from ACE that I hadn't paid an outstanding. I was confused, and I told them that I have paid the loan in full a week ago. When the person on the phone asked me whether I have my receipt, I remembered not taking any and so I told him so.
Unlike a lot of reviews I read, the other guy on the phone was very friendly and not threatening or other misdemeanors, and he told me that it might be a misunderstanding, and asked me whether I can come visit the nearest branch as soon as possible. Since I had a work to be done that day, I told him that I will visit the next day first thing in the morning, he said that it would be great. To be honest, I was afraid that there would be some trouble about my loan, and started regretting not taking the receipt.
As promised, I visited ACE the next morning, and I explained the situation to a supervisor. He was very supportive about the whole thing and helped investigate my issue. Thankfully, the lady who received my payment was present, and she testified about receiving my payment to the supervisor. They finally settled the issue, apparently the lady inputted the payment wrong on the computer, and so the situation was resolved in that very day. Didn't receive any calls after that day, and I took several payday loans from them without any problem.
Overall, I always had pleasant experiences with them, and I'd definitely recommend their services to anyone. One thing to keep in mind is to make your payment when it's due since many people gave them bad reviews for their collection methods. Well, you won't have the problem in the first place if you paid the loan on time. Secondly, try to be friendly with everyone, you'll never know when you will need their help."
